President's Report December 2019

I am truly honored to serve as your president for this exciting upcoming 2019/2020 year. We are also delighted to report a historic moment in which we have 4 women serving on the Executive Board this year; Elizabeth Pearce MD, Past President, myself as President, Jacquie Jonklaas MD as Secretary/COO, and Julie Ann Sosa MD, as Treasurer. Vic Bernet MD will also serve as President-elect.

I am also thrilled to report on a banner annual meeting in Chicago with a record 1624 registrants, one quarter of whom were international members from 40 countries! This was nicely mirrored by 230 faculty with close to 30% being international. We had a record number of presentations, 550 poster and 50 oral presentations! Our meeting was supported by 20 sponsors and 40 exhibitors and we sincerely thank them for their support.

Antonio Di Cristofano PhD and Mona Sabra MD ATA StaffWe also need to thank both Mona Sabra MD and Antonio Di Cristofano PhD, Program Committee Co-Chairs and the program committee members for creating a vibrant and comprehensive meeting. And, certainly thanks to all of our ATA staff led by Bobbi Smith who are instrumental in running the meetings.
