Announcing: New AMERICAN THYROID ASSOCIATION® 2019 – 2022 Strategic Plan
The ATA has approved a strategic plan including a new vision and mission:
• VISION: Optimal Thyroid Health for All
• MISSION: Transforming thyroid care through clinical excellence, education, scientific discovery and advocacy in a collaborative community
• VALUES: Scientific inquiry; Clinical excellence; Patient advocacy; Education; Public service; Diversity, equity and inclusion; Ethical conduct; and Worldwide collaboration and collegiality.
The ATA’s Strategic Plan establishes Four Areas of Focus with Supporting Goals. For each of these areas, activities for Year 1, 2, and 3, were also identified as indicators of success, and recommended metrics established to track success.

In compliance with good governance standards, the ATA meets every 3-4 years to assess programs, governance and policies. ATA Leadership presented the plan to Attendees at the 89th Annual Meeting of the ATA in Chicago on October 30, 2019. Thank you for engaging in the future of the ATA.
