Scientific Discovery, Research, and Publications

  • The Thyroid Disease CARE Act Press Conference with Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI), Dr. Paul Ladenson, and filmmaker Bryn Silverman. Watch the replay of the press conference here.
  • We are pleased to announce the Samuel Refetoff Fund is now fully endowed. We extend our gratitude and appreciation to the generous donors who helped make this possible and ensure the goals of the fund will carry forward supporting: Fellows, Trainees and Young Investigators; RTH Symposium; ATA Research Awards.
  • Open Access Article – Systematic Review of Literature: The Definition of Recurrence of Differentiated Thyroid Cancer

Patient Advocacy

  • Hosted three Virtual Patient Education Forums in collaboration with our partner organizations in the ATA® Alliance for Thyroid Patient Education.
    • March 23rd – Topics included Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, Thyroid Cancer and Thyroid Nodules
    • May 29th – Recognizing International Thyroid Awareness Week, Topics included Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, Thyroid Cancer and Thyroid Nodules
    • September 7th – Recognizing Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month
  • Updated Patient Information Brochures developed by members of the ATA Patient Affairs and Education Committee
