Join us for the 1st annual ATA Leadership Development Course. Learn about your leadership style and how goal setting enhance your effectiveness as a leader. Discover opportunities for leadership within the ATA, and network with others on similar career paths. Leadership skills gained in this course will be applicable to your own institution and your current and future leadership role within the ATA.

Finding Your Leadership Style
Christy Foldenauer, Fortis Leadership
Learn about your personal leadership style, and how the DiSC assessment can help you maximize your leadership effectiveness and work effectively with people who have other DiSC styles. Participants will take a DiSC personality assessment prior to the session and review the differences and similarities of the DiSC styles. Participants will gain an understanding of what DiSC is, how different DiSC styles can impact communication, improve relationships with others and gain skills for working together to create effective leadership teams.

Goal Setting as a Leadership Strategy

Enhance your effectiveness as a leader and work to achieve your personal career aspirations by developing your career goals. Participants will work with Dr. Graves to consider what you find valuable in your work and identify both short- and long-term goals that align with your strengths and weaknesses. Small group discussions will help refine these goals and apply them to “real-life” situations. Participants will come away with at least one action item that they can implement to start them on their path to career advancement.
