CLINICAL TRIALS SEARCH ENGINE NOW ON-LINE ON ATA WEBSITE
Dear ATA members and friends:
We are proud to announce the initiation of a clinical trials search
engine on the ATA website (www.thyroid.org)
that is open to the general public. This site can also be reached
at http://www.thyroidtrials.org/.
This new addition to our website is a great way to support and simplify
learning about clinical trials available for patients with thyroid
diseases. Searches can be performed in a disease and region-specific
manner to find trials for your patients local to your area, or nationwide.
As part of this initiative, we also would like to invite you to
submit your clinical trials for potential listing directly on the
ATA website. This can be done by following the instructions on the
clinical trials website and can include international trials as
well as US-based trials. Please try the new search engine and give
us your feedback!
**Protocols Now Being Accepted for Listing**
Purpose: To provide the ability to search for thyroid disease oriented
clinical trials from a single site.
There are 2 mechanisms for this site:
1. Registration of your trial with the ATA for listing on the Website
2. A search engine for thyroid-related clinical trials on the internet
(currently available).
We are now accepting clinical trials for posting on the ATA website.
These can be submitted on-line and will be reviewed for posting
by the ATA Website Committee. The goal is two week turnaround from
submission to posting.
The listing will be disease-oriented
Primary Information on each study (Required)
1. Title of study
2. Sponsor of Study
3. Dates of Study (both opening and closing dates)
4. Coordinating Center
5. Participating Centers
6. Contact Person for at least the coordinating center

Updating the Site:
All studies will be removed from the site on the closing date listed.
This will be maintained by the webmaster and reviewed periodically
by the Website Advisory Committee Chair or Designee.
