CME ACCREDITATION

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine and the American Thyroid Association. The University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine designates this educational activity AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (total number of credits available TBD). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This meeting is designed for the community of endocrinologists, surgeons, scientists, other physicians and health care professionals who wish to broaden and update their knowledge of the thyroid gland and its disorders.

EDUCATIONAL DESIGN

The Spring 2010 Meeting will feature innovative talks on clinical topics, "meet-the professor" workshops, interactive sessions, state of the art information and unparalleled collegiality.

Upon completion of this conference participants should be able to:

  • Describe state-of-the art findings on the mechanisms, prevention, diagnosis, and management of thyroid disorders and cancer
  • Recognize the impact of health policy, environmental factors, genetic factors, and non-thyroidal conditions on thyroid disorders and cancer Incorporate new treatment options for thyroid disorders and cancer in patient care
  • Identify and increase opportunities for networking and collaboration with other professionals in furthering research in the fields of thyroid disorders and cancer and patient care
